Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a former world number one, has had a challenging period, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - caused him falling of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with former trainer his previous coach.
Presently working with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his initial trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from March of the previous year.
Victory also means Medvedev has secured 21 championships at twenty-one different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my children at once, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his last six championship matches, comprising in Halle in the past months.
His retrieving strategy and regular outbursts on court had led commentators to doubt if his capacity to perform at the top level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete positively, reinforced by an improved serve.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial professional championship, seized the initiative to create a third set.
The opponent rescued four initial opportunities in a competitive final set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner secured the title with a shot at the net, with Moutet failing to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
