Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Xbox fan sites began covering about PlayStation as a new development. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company continues to plan to draw people in with strong games on its flagship service.
The Immediate Additions
A pair of titles you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."
Intriguing Niche Additions
Yet, the less-hyped additions arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and you should try it regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by Rebellion Developments, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Robust Selection of Games
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around — which makes them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
